Terrain types: A Quick Guide from Scaffcalc
The terrain type describes the surrounding of the construction. Each terrain type is describe below.
Terrain type 0 Sea or coastal area exposed to open sea.
Terrain type 1 Lake or flat and horizontal area with negligible vegetation and no obstructions.
Terrain type 2 Area with low vegetation such as grass and single obstacles (trees, buildings) with a minimum mutual distance equal to 20 times the height of the obstacles.
Terrain type 3 Area covered with vegetation or buildings or with single obstacles with the largest mutual distance equal to 20 times the height of the obstacles (eg villages, suburbs, woodland).
Terrain type 4 Area where at least 15% of the area is built-up and where the average height of the buildings is > 15 m.
